The new collaboration features British shoe designer Ancuta Sarca, who has crafted an exclusive, upcycled velvet-and-leather mule inspired by Molton Brown’s newest collection – Bluebell & Wild Strawberry. This vibrant new scent is set to launch on February 19, 2025, and continues Molton Brown’s commitment to bridging the worlds of fine fragrance and British artistry.

The partnership between Molton Brown and Ancuta Sarca follows the brand’s successful collaborations in September 2024, which included notable British creatives such as fashion designer Nicholas Daley, jeweller Gala Dennison, and punk poet Dr. John Cooper Clarke. Now, the brand celebrates the talents of both a female perfumer and a female artist, further reinforcing Molton Brown's dedication to championing diverse voices within the creative community.

A Fragrance Inspired by Spring’s Energy

Bluebell & Wild Strawberry, a fragrance crafted by Senior Perfumer Véronique Nyberg from Mane, captures the essence of spring with fresh, lively notes of wild strawberry, bluebell, and vibrant green accords. Inspired by Nyberg’s childhood memories of spring walks in the Alpine forests of Haute-Provence, France, the fragrance blends earthy green notes of galbanum and violet leaf with floral heart notes of bluebell, tuberose, and may lily. The base reveals a rich warmth of amber accord, driftwood, and sandalwood, grounding the scent and evoking the energy and renewal of the season.

"I wanted to create a fragrance that echoed the vibrant contrasts of nature in spring, a time when the forest floor comes alive with color and scent," says Nyberg. "This scent is about evoking that feeling of being immersed in the natural world, where the mind and soul are refreshed."

Ancuta Sarca’s Visionary Shoe Design

Inspired by the dynamic energy and floral contrasts of Bluebell & Wild Strawberry, Ancuta Sarca has designed an exclusive pair of mules that perfectly capture the fragrance's vibrant and feminine spirit. Known for her innovative approach to circular fashion, Sarca uses upcycled materials, blending deadstock velvet and leather to create a truly sustainable, yet striking, shoe design. The shoes embody Sarca’s unique fusion of street style and high fashion, while showcasing her commitment to environmental consciousness.

"When I first smelled the perfume, I was immediately transported back to my childhood memories of Easter time, when we had a large lilac tree in our garden. The fragrance evoked spring and flowers, and it was important for me to capture that in the shoe design," says Sarca. "The contrasting elements and vivid colors, such as blues, purples, and greens, reflect the energy of both the fragrance and the season."
