The Three Suns Balm name is inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine’s ‘The Three Treasures’; which are qi, Jing, and Shen. It also underpins the three core facets of the sophisticated formula.

About Joanna
Lifelong skincare enthusiast, Joanna spent 15 years as a multi-award-winning beauty director and brand consultant, before fulfilling a long-held ambition to study for a BSc degree in Chinese Medicine at Westminster University, in 2016. Drawn to the principles of yang-sheng - self-cultivation - and the notion of innate balance within the law of yin and yang, it was while at university, that Joanna began to see the practice of skincare as something that went beyond ingredients. It could be a daily ceremony, a form a grounding practice, a quiet bookmark in an otherwise fraught day. No longer a perfunctory essential, skincare has, Joanna believes, become a tool to decompress, for the therapeutic act of self-regard. Sensing the need for a sea of change within the industry; for a new era of refined, truthful, sensorial, and biochemically advanced skincare, in November 2020, the first seedlings of REOME were planted. Beyond her degree, Joanna has completed further CPD courses with world renowned facial acupuncturists, TCM gua sha specialists and Five Element thought leaders, based in New York, Hawaii, and LA.
Now a board-certified acupuncturist with a busy home practice, and a residency at the 180 Health Club, Joanna has a keen grasp of the ever-shifting sands that underpin the relationship we have with our skin, gathered through her patient consultations, and uses REOME formulas in her acupuncture treatments. A proudly independent start-up, REOME presents a new paradigm for how a skincare brand can look, feel, and exist in the world; a trusted companion for the untravelled terrain we find ourselves on.
