CND Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Tiny Canvases: The Art of Nails Exhibition
Celebrating 40 years of product breakthroughs and innovations, CND™ have brought the Tiny Canvases: The Art of Nails exhibition to the public at Oceanside Museum of Art. Showcasing the phenomenal talent of the nail professional, Tiny Canvases takes you on a journey through the world of CND™ from the humble beginnings in a California garage, to leading global nail brand.
Enter through the looking glass of the History Room, where you’ll find a Research and Development table which displays CND™’s biggest innovations from the past 40 years. Ever wondered what made SolarOil™ the ‘miracle manicure in a bottle’? Always wanted to know exactly how the Retention + system changed the lives of the professionals? You can discover this and more including how the game-changing CND™ Shellac™ was created, making it the first ever 14+ day wear, high-shine gel polish.
As you venture on, you’ll get to know the artists behind the Tiny Canvases. Get ahead of the trends and see how they created some of the most spectacular nail designs for Fashion Weeks and the most sought-after celebrities. Allow yourself to be stunned by one of the most jaw-dropping pieces in CND™ history: The Blonds Original Couture Ruby Red Corset. This piece was created for The Blonds AW18 New York Fashion Week Show using CND™ Shellac™ Wildfire applied to tips and adorned with 1000s of Swarovski Crystals, which were all hand placed. This was then gifted to CND™ by David and Phillipe Blond to mark their Ruby Anniversary.
So, grab a glass and say cheers to a library of over 20,000 Tiny Canvases from 40 years of CND™ history and celebrate the miniature artworks of the fabulous CND™ artists or visit the virtual tour here.
