With new innovations and ever changing trends, the beauty industry is constantly adapting to the new better trends. Sian Dellar, Permanent Make-up specialist on London’s renowned Harley Street, dove right in to share her top permanent make-up predictions for 2020. With permanent make-up, the “no make-up” make-up is levelling up!

  1. Permanent Foundation

Whilst filtered-faces have been taking over late 2019, the emerging trend will continue into 2020 with more permanent results. For an airbrushed, skin blurring effect, SMPU Foundation is set to be big in 1010. Sian says “we’re able to create a more even complexion with the use of expertly matched pigments. My clinic has seen an interest in this brand new treatment really picking up in the last few months so it’s definitely on my trend prediction list for new year!”

  2. Faux-Freckles

Ever since the phenomenon of the Markle Sparkle mid-2019, booking for Freckle Tattoos are on the up. This wave of love for the feature goes hand in hand with the trend supporting natural beauty. Sian said, “Even if you have freckles, you can go over them to make them darker. The faux-freckle trend is so popular right now for those wanting to enhance their natural freckles or create a new look. We have seen an increase in requests for the freckles and it’s continuing to grow.”

  3. Lip Liner

We’re in a period of lip filler backlash. Kylie Jenner’s reign in lips have encapsulated the world but now she’s stopped plumping with filler and only lines her pout. Save time and avoid botched lips, with permanent lip liner. Create your desired shape and just add gloss” Sian says, “We’re seeing more clients who want to achieve a fuller lip-look without the use of fillers. The pigments we use are cruelty-free and give a more natural effect which is also longer-lasting. Choose between lip liner, lip blush or a full tint.

  4. Ombre Brows

The Ombre Brow is part of the next generation microblading method performed by experts. The permanent makeup treatment creates a soft, defined look using a pixelated pattern to make the brows look far more natural. Sian says, “the brow game is always evolving and Ombre brows are seriously on the rise” We’re getting a lot of enquiries for this over Microblading as it’s suitable for all skin types, can be longer-lasting and even needs fewer touch-ups”.

  5. Lash Line Filler

Sparse lashes are every girl’s worst nightmare and we’ve all tried serums that promise growth & under deliver. Well fret no more as SD has the treatment to fix this, she offers “lash liner filler which is essentially a succession of little dots along the lash line which replace the appearance of hair growth. I’ve seen a big influx in the last 6 months or so, often clients have experienced thinning lashes after repeat extensions. It really opens the eyes”
