Since opening in 2004 in Stourbridge, Scratch Nail Salon has been at the forefront of Nail services within the local area with a loyal client base and long-standing reliable staff.

When choosing colours for my salon, I decided to begin by choosing white which is my favourite. It’s chic, clean and clinal - the look I wanted to go for. I wanted to not only create a salon, but also a place where people feel well looked after and pampered and keep coming back. We have many clients who travel a distance to see our therapists. White gave me a blank canvas to work with and immediately made the place look luxurious – the next steps were the details. Accessories are elements that can always be interchanged and updated easily, making your salon effortlessly trendy. At the current moment pink and grey is instagrammable and it’s easy to spot the colours in my details – pink towels, flowers, grey cushions. While you may want to keep your space looking sterile – decorations make it welcoming.

I went to see an interior designer and we put together a mood board of textures, colours and furniture which really helped me. I knew I wanted luxurious textures and to maintain a glamorous look. I wanted big comfy sofas for the clients to sit of in reception or while they are letting their nails drying. Most items in the salon are bespoke. For me lighting was important, I had 2 chandeliers creating an opulent look. I also had a feature wall with Swarovski Wallpaper – adding a wallpaper wall can really glam up the salon!
