Bleach London Launches "What's Your Favourite Colour" Campaign with £5,000 Creator Fund
Bleach London isn’t just refreshing its iconic Super Cool Colour range—it’s throwing its weight behind the creatives who’ve helped shape its community over the last ten years. As part of the brand’s ten-year anniversary celebrations, it has launched a new campaign and a £5,000 fund aimed at supporting emerging talent.
The campaign, titled What’s Your Favourite Colour?, taps into the brand’s deep connection with underground artistry and alternative beauty. Five creatives from founder Alex Brownsell’s network were invited to express what colour means to them, using whatever medium felt right—whether that’s wigs, film, makeup, music or fashion. The line-up includes hairstylist and photographer Dean Hoy, artist and filmmaker Sienna Murdoch, wig maestro Tomi Kono, musician Aziya, and creative director Henrietta Gallina. Each brings a wildly different energy, but all speak the same visual language: colour as a form of rebellion, identity, and joy.
“I’m so excited to launch the What’s Your Favourite Colour campaign”, explains Alex Brownsell. “When I started out in the professional hair space aged sixteen I had no contacts, no money and hardest of all - no instagram. Hair colour became my medium and a way to communicate ideas. What started out as a skill evolved into a salon and then a home range that gave everyone else access to the same tools. We created our semi-permanent Super Cool Colour so that other wide eyed kids (and adults) like me could experiment on their hair too. Now, ten years and seventeen shades later they’re sold all over the world, having gone so much further that I could ever have imagined. I can’t wait to see artists I admire interpreting their favourite colours, as well as giving new talent the chance to create work on a bigger scale with the help of the Super Cool Colour Creative fund.”
Alongside this, Bleach is launching the Super Cool Colour Creative Fund, giving £5,000 to a new generation of creatives who have the ideas—but not yet the budget—to make them real. The fund is open to anyone working in a creative field who uses colour in a meaningful way, from nail artists and MUAs to designers and stylists. Submissions are open until 9 April 2025, and entries are being accepted via TikTok or Instagram. A panel made up of Brownsell and the campaign’s featured artists will choose the winner.
It’s an open invitation to a new wave of DIY beauty lovers and boundary-pushers. If you’ve got something to say—and colour is your medium—Bleach wants to hear it.
