Shared Beauty Secrets Celebrates 15 Years of Success with £15k Giveaway

Founded in 2009 by Clare Anderson, a serial beauty entrepreneur, winner of a Great British Entrepreneur wellbeing award and featured in 2023 as one of OK! Magazine Female Founders edition, Shared Beauty Secrets has performed over one million Lava Shells massages and trained over 15,000 beauty therapists.  In 15 years it has carved a niche for itself with its innovative offerings and unparalleled commitment to delivering quality professional training and innovative trade and retail products. In a testament to its forward-thinking approach, the brand introduced Sensory Retreats in 2019 to extend the guest spa experience in the treatment room and at home. Its retail products include the much sought after self-heating eye masks which to-date have sold over one million units and its latest masterpiece – a luxurious vegan silk mask.  

The company recently revamped its lineup of massage treatments to include three new Sensory Sleep massages, which exclusively premiered at Park Lane Four Seasons before rolling out to leading spas including the Soho Group, Carbis Bay and Danesfield House & Spa. This brings their portfolio of unique and luxurious massage treatments, all available for professional training, up to 15 in recognition of this year's important business milestone.

The company has also enjoyed a logo refresh to keep it in line with the evolution of the brand and current trends within the industry.

In addition to its anniversary celebration and product giveaway, Shared Beauty Secrets is also planning to expand its reach by partnering with more spas and salons, training them in their signature multi-sensorial massage techniques which now include Lava Shells, thermaBliss, Divine Touch and Sensory Sleep.

The business itself all started with the discovery and subsequent launch of Lava Shells, the world's most innovative self-heating massage tool, on a holiday to Turks & Caicos 15 years ago. Dubbed the new hot stones when they were launched in 2009 Clare reflects on the business journey:
