Skinmade Launches in the UK

Skinmade, the German personalised skincare brand using advanced, pioneering Artificial Intelligence to develop made-to-measure products that meet the individual needs of your skin has launched in the UK through its first clinic partnership at EF Medispa.

Your skin is as specifically unique as you are – and therefore deserves specifically unique love and attention. German personalised skincare brand Skinmade is the world’s first skincare brand that uses advanced technology and artificial intelligence to listen to, measure and understand your skin’s individual needs. Specific ingredients are then selected to offer products that are optimally designed for your skin only.

There are many different factors that determine your skin’s current condition and challenges, like the weather, your stress-level, hormones and your lifestyle. Skinmade’s scientists have developed an advanced, original biophysical skin reading system that captures exactly what your skin currently needs. This reading system, combined with the brand’s industry leading artificial intelligence, takes the data from your skin, translates it into a set of ingredients, freshly mixes up the formula and creates your personalised moisturiser. Skinmade offer beauty products made by your skin.

Skinmade founder Molecula & Cell Biologist, Dr. Lars Rüther said: “Originally we were working with this technology in the Fraunhofer-Institute in Germany, when we realised the potential to use this intelligence for personalised skincare. Today we are absolutely at the forefront of this capability within the worldwide skincare industry. One day we will all look back and think it is crazy that we all used the same generic skincare productsr, instead of having individual products that are designed specifically for us, by our own skin. Products that are Skinmade.”

The brand has first launch in the UK in London’s leading clinc EF Medispa, renowned for pioneering, cutting edge skincare and treatments.

How does it work from the clinic side?

Stocking the brand is the same as working with any other beauty brand - except for the personalized skincare products, there’s no holding stock involved. Thanks to the personalized system offered by beauty salons stocking the brand do not need to freeze its investment in stock as they only order the moisturisers that they sell. You can continue stocking the brand alongside your current product offering as you dip your business into personalised skincare.

To set up with Skinmade, the salon will need to purchase the AI tech to offer skin readings and the Skinmade skincare range (which is made up of 9 must-have SKUs). The salons are then able to offer skin reading consultations (£55 current at EF Medispa) redeemable against the moisturizer (£225).

The salon sends the skin reading to the Skinmade lab in Germany and the moisturizer is made and shipped to the client via the clinic. The cream is expected to last customers 4-6 weeks, after which point the salon can encourage the client to come back for another skin reading to offer an up-to-date cream. It’s the perfect scheme to encourage client retention.
