First Multi-Service Hair and Beauty Salon for Airports and Train Stations

In an effort to end lost time in airport lounges and uninspiring rail stations, built for the modern busy woman, Marie Claire Jet Style will be the first multi-service hair and beauty salon will open in 215 airports and train stations globally.

In 2018, over 100 million people travelled through Heathrow and Gatwick airports, racking up an estimated 178 minutes of ‘lost time’ whenever they pass through. It’s time to take the stress out of the pre-trip beauty blitz and put some of those lost minutes to good use. The bricks and mortar salons will be offering a mani, pedi and 3D Shine Blow Dry in under 45 minutes. Founded and created by Steph Stevenson, editorial and celebrity hairstylist and entrepreneur, the salons will open under the Marie Claire publishing license. Sporting luxe interiors and the latest technology, the global rollout will start from October 2019 beginning with Kings Cross St Pancras.

In the Marie Claire Jet Style Salons, you can expect two nail technicians and a hairstylist to be working on you from all angles – tailoring your services to your travel needs, all while you sit in the comfort of the salon chair, surrounded by beautiful interiors, and a signature salon aroma and playlist. The team of stylists will ensure that you’re getting off the plane the way you stepped onto it.

Packed carry-on only or just forgot to pack your hair products? Fret not, Marie Claire Jet Style can have your wet products delivered from the salon chair and delivered to your UK address or ready for you at your global destination. Now that speaks Jet Set to us...

With the combination of Marie Claire’s empowering ideas and the dynamism that Steph Stevenson is bringing to the world of travel, moving and arriving in style will never be the same again. Stay tuned for news on the global rollout.

Steph says; “My lightbulb moment came when I realised that, like the 123,000 other women travelling through Heathrow, it had been a mad dash to get manicured and styled before I left, then I was sitting in an airport for 2 hours, wasting time. I wondered why, when 75% of us work full-time, there wasn’t an option to maximise this lost time. The multi-service salon was born from this need. I wanted to work with Marie Claire as the global experts in hair and beauty advice and education and the ideal platform to address women’s lifestyle needs; as such Marie Claire Jet Style was born.”
