The Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, part of Crerar Hotels, announces the launch of its new wellness facility, the Driftwood Spa which will officially open in June.  Located on the Isle of Mull in West Scotland, the new spa is part of Crerar Hotels’ £3 million investment in the hotel to enhance the group’s luxury spa and wellness offering.

The new Driftwood Spa, with panoramic coastal views over Craignure Bay out to the Sound of Mull, has been designed to reflect and complement the beauty of the island’s nature and wildlife, providing an intimate and secluded wellbeing retreat for the hotel’s guests.

Spa facilities include a 17-metre swimming pool, thermal suite with sauna and steam room, relaxing foot spa, experience showers, Rasul mud chamber and four beautifully appointed treatment rooms comprising two couple’s rooms, one single treatment room and one seaweed bath room.  The hotel also has a stunning outdoor spa terrace with hot tub.

To complement the new spa, the 75-bedroom hotel has introduced a collection of Spa Retreat Suites, all with sea views.  These rooms come complete with their own sea terrace and private outdoor hot tub.

The treatment menu has been curated in conjunction with the spa’s product house, Ishga and includes exclusive signature experiences using the organic therapeutic benefits of Scotland’s Hebridean seaweed.  Treatments will include a range of face and body treatments plus Ishga’s powerful Seaweed Bath which is deeply relaxing and designed to eliminate toxins, reduce cellulite, boost energy and improve skin tone. The Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa will be offering a programme of spa and wellbeing packages incorporating a choice of nature inspired and mindful activities.

The interior design of the spa is modern, clean and calming inspired by the island’s natural landscape and heritage. This includes Scottish green tweeds, warm heather tones and crisp white linen.

The grounds surrounding the hotel are also being developed, with a full remodelling and landscaping throughout the gardens right down to Craignure Bay. The hotel will be adding a range of outdoor facilities including an ‘enchanted fairy walk’, sea deck dining, and external ‘Wilderness Spa’ featuring a secluded hot tub and sauna due to open in July 2021.

The hotel’s public areas and guest rooms have also been refurbished with a new restaurant and bar being added to the venue’s offering. A new external balcony adjacent to the restaurant will treat guests to panoramic views across Craignure Bay.
