The owner of Supercuts, one of Britain's largest high street salon chains, has collapsed into administration on Friday.

It’s 223 salons holding over 1,200 jobs will continue to trade as restructuring experts at Deloitte consider options for the future of the business.

Last year the company went through an insolvency process known as a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), which meant it could cut rent payments to landlords in an attempt to stay afloat. While Supercuts have been struggling for the last few years, it was expect that a buyer for the chain could be found.
