British Beauty Council Announces New Appointments to Executive Board

The British Beauty Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Verde Nieto and Nnenna Onuba to its Executive Board, effective immediately.

Boasting extensive careers within the British beauty industry, Nnenna Onuba and Diana Verde Nieto make invaluable additions to the British Beauty Council’s Executive Board, and will help to propel the growth of the non-profit organisation.

Verde Nieto is a prominent business leader and sustainability expert, with over 20 years of experience in guiding companies towards business sustainability and innovation. She is best known for co-founding Positive Luxury, which aids beauty businesses to adopt more sustainable practices through its proprietary Butterfly Methodology, consisting of an ESG+ assessment and consultation.

With ample background in beauty entrepreneurship, M&A and angel investing, Nnenna Onuba joins the British Beauty Council’s Board following tenures at PwC and Rothschild & Co. She is the founder of CIC 100 Allies, which is dedicated to changing the face and faces of the boardroom, diversifying the beauty industry's leadership by identifying, nurturing, and promoting exceptional, often underrepresented talent.

The new appointments bring unique knowledge to the Executive Board which will help to solidify the non-profits work within its existing pillars of ESG, growth, talent and policy & influence. Working alongside existing directors, they will ensure the Council fulfils the aims set out within its current roadmap.

Onuba and Verde Nieto will collaborate with fellow Executive Board members under the strategic leadership of Chair, Meribeth Parker - Senior Vice President of Platforms & Partnerships at News UK.
