FORESTIS Reopens with New Spa Suites

The luxury mountain retreat FORESTIS has reopened after completing a significant renovation, introducing a range of new facilities and experiences. Situated 1,800 metres above sea level on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in South Tyrol, the five-star retreat now features a new wine cellar, a garden restaurant, and enhanced spa treatment suites, all designed to offer guests an immersive experience surrounded by the Dolomites.

The new features include:

  1. Garden Restaurant: Featuring a show kitchen and an all-day menu, the restaurant draws on the freshness of seasonal produce. Ingredients, including herbs, vegetables, and foraged items like mushrooms and roots, are sourced from the hotel’s own kitchen garden and nearby forests, delivering a true farm-to-table experience.

  2. Wine Cellar: The newly introduced wine cellar is set between the bar and garden restaurant, providing an intimate space for guests to explore local, national, and international wines through tastings. The cellar’s cosy design, featuring a large wooden table for up to 10 guests, allows for private dining and wine experiences.

  3. Spa and Wellness: FORESTIS has upgraded its wellness facilities with new spa suites, each featuring two treatment beds, a large round bathtub, steam bath, and relaxation area. The spa continues to offer treatments inspired by Celtic traditions, including new options such as the Healing Wood Massage and Vital Field Massage. Treatments revolve around the use of the four healing woods—mountain pine, spruce, larch, and Swiss pine—combined with aromatherapy, energy flow massages, and natural ingredients like mountain pine for scrubs.

Immersive Experiences:

  • Cooking Classes: Guests can now partake in a variety of culinary experiences, from traditional South Tyrolean cooking to pasta and bread baking classes, held in the show kitchen. These classes provide hands-on engagement with local ingredients and traditions.

  • Herbal Farm Visits: Guests are invited to visit the local Schmiedthof herb farm, a short journey from the retreat, where they can experience the harvest of aromatic herbs, learn about herbal remedies, and participate in activities like creating herb butter.

The refreshed FORESTIS offers a seamless blend of wellness, gastronomy, and nature, continuing its mission to provide a retreat focused on holistic rejuvenation. With the addition of new experiences and facilities, the retreat promises an elevated stay for its guests, combining luxury with a deep connection to the surrounding environment.
