Barry M Unveils Fresh New Rebrand

The iconic British beauty brand celebrated for its vibrant, fun, and affordable makeup, is embracing a bold new era. Rooted in its rebellious origins in the 1980s London punk scene, Barry M was the first cosmetics brand to introduce a range of 100 coloured nail paints to the market... literally, on Ridley Road Market in London's East End. Over 40 years, the company evolved into a pretty and polished brand, predominantly appealing to a younger customer base. Whilst it remains loyal to that clientele, Barry M is now revisiting its roots and reflecting a more raw aesthetic, appealing to a wider range of consumers and showcasing real beauty in all its forms.

Barry M’s reinvention reflects a commitment to staying ahead of the curve, blending its fun and fearless aesthetic with a more raw and real energy. The refreshed, modernised logo, edgy model shots, and behind-the-scenes content all pull inspiration from the dynamic and creative atmosphere of East London, merging urban fashion visuals with unfiltered, authentic moments.

“We’ve always been a brand that champions boldness and individuality,” says Dean Mero, Managing Director and son to Founder, Barry Mero. “Our new look and feel brings that spirit full circle- honouring where we came from while embracing a modern edge. We’re ready to connect with our community in a more real, raw, and unapologetic way.”

While the look and feel are evolving, Barry M’s values remain unaffected. The brand will be phasing out its previous packaging, making its transition in the most sustainable way possible. As a 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand, Barry M continues to offer cosmetics that allow everyone to express themselves without compromise. Whether it’s with iconic nail paints or statement makeup, every Barry M product is designed to empower its users.
