Former Strictly Therapist Joins Rutland Hall as Wellbeing Manager

Well-known wellbeing expert, Kerry Summers, has joined the team at Rutland Hall based in Leicestershire to head up an exciting and unique wellbeing concept which is due to open soon.

Kerry joins Four Roots Wellbeing at the early stages of this revolutionary project. With the wellbeing site currently undergoing a major refit, Kerry’s initial role will be to recruit and train a team of therapists to carry out a range of bespoke treatments carefully designed to connect with our Four Roots concept of spiritual, physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

“I am excited to be overseeing the launch, managing the ongoing development and growing the team to deliver this brand-new concept. Four Roots Wellbeing will offer a gender-neutral, holistic escape from daily life where guests will be guided along a unique, curated four-hour journey combining a mix of bathing, wellbeing treatments, meditation, a sensory refresh and dining.”

Recruitment for the Four Roots team is already well underway, with some vacancies still to fill. All new therapists are required to hold level 3 certification and will receive full training on all specialist wellbeing treatments.

“This is such an exciting opportunity for local therapists to develop their career. The concept will be dedicated to delivering a fully immersive experience. Our aim is that guests will walk in to Four Roots and immediately feel swaddled in feelings of calmness and caring,” adds Kerry, who’s used to working with a demanding star-studded cast.

“I completed a year’s tour working as a personal therapist to the Strictly Come Dancing professional couple, Flavia Cacace Mistry and Vincent Simone on their Dance Til Dawn show. Whilst touring, my role was to perform massage, facials and other treatments on the couple, cast, crew and orchestra. It was great fun.”

“Four Roots is pivotal to our ongoing commitment and investment in Rutland Hall and our vision to continually enhance the guest experience and the vitality of our resort. Kerry will play a crucial role in reflecting our dedication to providing unparalleled wellness experiences; she will be instrumental in guiding the Four Roots team and ensuring that every guest embarks on a transformative journey of relaxation and rejuvenation,” explains Adrian Pickard, Director and General Manager of Rutland Hall Hotel

Kerry’s extensive spa, salon and retail experience has been gained from running her own local salon, working with high profile spa groups and accounts such as Champneys and working as a regional business manager for several national hotel and spa groups.
