indu Champions Teen Talent with Groundbreaking BRIT School Partnership
Disruptive teen beauty brand indu has announced a groundbreaking 12-month partnership with The BRIT School, set to commence in March 2025. At a time when arts subjects have declined by up to 26% in schools, this collaboration reinforces indu’s mission to support young people in pursuing creative careers.
The BRIT School, a state-funded charity, has been a launching pad for some of the biggest names in the creative industries, including Adele, RAYE, and Cush Jumbo. With 47% of its students classified as income-deprived, the school relies on external donations to continue providing free, high-quality arts education. indu’s commitment to this partnership will help ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to opportunities that allow them to thrive in creative disciplines.
The collaboration includes a donation of £40,000 worth of indu products, makeup artist and skincare masterclasses for Production Arts and Musical Theatre students, as well as work shadowing and placement opportunities. One student will also receive a paid summer internship at indu HQ, offering hands-on experience in marketing, product development, and creative planning. The initiative aligns with the brand’s core values of celebrating and empowering teens beyond the beauty space.
indu’s Co-Founder and Executive Chair, Aaron Chatterley, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "To be able to partner with The BRIT School in this way is a real honor for indu. We are all about celebrating teen talent, so this aligns perfectly with our core values. It’s fantastic to know that our contribution will go a little way to helping enable the school to continue the incredible job they do, providing arts education to such a wide and diverse community."
The school’s Director of Communications, Alexa Cruickshank, also emphasized the synergy between the two organizations, stating, "When indu came to The BRIT School, we discovered the harmonious synergy of the values and philosophies we both share. Our students are ambitious, creative and responsible individuals and we believe through experimenting with products they will be able to shine confidently and express themselves for their future careers in the creative and performing arts."
The BRIT School continues to be a beacon of opportunity, with 98% of its students in education, training, or employment within three months of graduating in 2024. Former students have collectively achieved over 280 million album sales, 70+ billion streams, and prestigious accolades including Grammys, BAFTAs, and Oscars. Principal Stuart Worden reaffirmed the institution’s belief in the accessibility of arts education, stating, "At the heart of The BRIT School is a simple idea: that an arts education should be free and available to all, regardless of their economic or social circumstances. The School transforms the lives of young people who want creativity as part of their future. It supports them to develop their craft and learn the skills to succeed."
This partnership follows indu’s recent Teen Athlete Sponsorship Programme, which supports young athletes beyond the world of beauty. With these initiatives, indu is reinforcing its dedication to uplifting teens in multiple fields, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to excel in their passions.
